Dr. Joshua Merrell
General Dentist
Dr. Merrell is a native of Hendersonville, NC. He graduated from West Henderson High School. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry and Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He remained at UNC Chapel Hill where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Dr. Merrell opened his private dental practice in 2006, after restoring a historic Hendersonville home built in 1920. Dr. Merrell thoroughly enjoys furthering his education. He has completed an immense amount of training with CEREC, allowing the use of our advanced technology to fabricate crowns in a single day. He has obtained advanced training with oral implantology including the completion of a fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He is a member of the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society and the Henderson County Dental Society. Dr. Merrell and his wife Dr. Betsy Merrell, a local family physician, have two children. In his spare time, Dr. Merrell enjoys spending time with his family, camping, golfing, basketball, hiking, fishing and movies.
